Welcome to Birkeland Farm
Raising quality pastured meats and providing a safe & healthy customer experience remains our top priority during the phased re-openings in the general Portland, Oregon area.
We continue to implement the safety guidelines issued by the World Heath Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and are in accordance with the Oregon State Governors office and the Oregon Health Authority.
Birkeland Farm continues to operate as an "essential business", and our products are available. Due to increased demand during this time, bulk orders may require 4-6 weeks until ready for pickup or delivery.
We have expanded our free delivery options for orders $100 or more throughout the Portland & Oregon City areas in Oregon (excluding beef shares). Product can be pre-ordered, pre-paid & dropped at your doorstep without engaging.
Some specific items may be out of stock on this website due to limited availability. If you're looking for an out of stock item, we may still be able to get that item to you.
Please visit us each Sunday at the Milwaukie Farmers Market (May-October), and Saturdays at the Moreland Farmers Market (May-October). Check each market website for precautionary steps being taken. Your market pre-orders can be prepared & ready for pickup at the Market.
As always, please reach out to us with your questions, concerns and special order requests.
Birkeland Farm is the result of the collaboration of sisters Lisa and Lynne to create a farm/ranch close to the metro Portland area in Oregon. We are located in Beavercreek, Oregon on a 70 acre cattle ranch. With the goal of producing and providing quality, humanely raised food for ourselves and others, we feel extremely privileged to be a local source of quality meat products.
With Lisa's years of experience with horses & successfully competing in the Cutting sport, and Lynne's experience in horticulture and a passion for nutritious & natural food, Birkeland Farm was established in 2014.
Starting with a small herd of Corriente Cattle and crossing with British Whites, they have raised sport calves as well as quality grass fed Beef. Recognizing the need to expand products, pasture raised Chickens as well as Farm made kitchen products have been added over the years. We do partner with local select Ranches that practice our same animal husbandry to insure a steady supply of inventory.
The Farm is named after Lisa and Lynne's Norwegian born grandmother, the patriarch of the family, Josephine Louise Birkeland Moen. Birkeland translates as Land of Birches, of which none existed, but are being added one at a time...
